My husband woke up this morning before I did to go to his hair cut appointment. I remembered being half awake and pleasantly dreaming away as usual (I love to sleep in) when my husband came to check up on me before he took off. I vaguely recalled he had climbed in bed and cuddled me close while he whispered in my ear:
“I love you baby, you are so wonderful! I am so happy you are in my life.”
Then he proceeded to place many gentle kisses on my neck as I continued to dream away.
Although I wasn’t awake enough to respond coherently, I remembered waking up feeling incredibly loved and appreciated. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have found such a gorgeous man who loves me and appreciates me so much. It made my existence on this earth so much more meaningful when I am constantly shown how much I am appreciated and loved.
Do you have someone you love and appreciate in your life? Maybe it has been a long time since you have said some pretty mushy things to each other but I think it makes a HUGE difference to the people you love. If it embarasses you to say these deeply emotional words during the waking hours, you might want to catch that special person when he/she is half asleep because it really gets drilled into the psyche and he/she will wake up wondering why they feel warm and fuzzy all day. If you are lucky, that special someone might even remember dreaming about it.
To my husband Dobes:
“I love you so much and I am so grateful for your love and appreciation. I feel so lucky to have you in my life!”
Heh, Dobes is going to open his Google reader sometime tonight or tomorrow and be highly amused by my blog post. After all, he is my most loyal blog visitor and he was the first to subscribe to my RSS feed.
